A few months ago our wonderful print maker, Marion Vialade, made the decision to leave the Hullabaloo collective and pursue some new horizons. We will miss her and wish her well in her future artistic endeavours. Marion joined Hullabaloo in 2011 after arriving in Central Otago some years earlier from the South of France with her husband Anthony in pursuit of a career in winemaking. Successfully setting up a winemaking business Marion bravely set out in search of a way to expand her creative talents and introduced herself to Hullabaloo collective. With her usual unabashed enthusiasm for taking on anything new and creative Marion exhibited a body of work during her time in the collective that was greatly admired. Her quirky and thoughtful works capturing moments of fun and beauty will be missed by us all.
Marions departure means we are now actively looking for a new member. If you are a contemporary artist with a successful and dynamic studio practice, looking for a chance to work in a team that exhibits in an artist run modern gallery, we would love to hear from you. As an artist lead gallery space, we work together to staff and manage the gallery, promoting and supporting each other’s work. Ideally there would be a close association with the Central Otago/Lakes District area and a flexibility around rostered hours. If this sounds like you or someone you know send all the details including CV, images and anything that will sell you to us before 5pm Monday 1 October email@example.com
